We saw the baby again!

Last night we had a little scare- I had some light bleeding. It lasted about an hour and was not a lot at all, but it was the last thing I wanted to see and freaked me out pretty badly. I was afraid to tell Graham because I knew he would freak out too  and wanted to minimize the damage. After a little reading and asking my PA friend, Sara, for her opinion I decided to tell Graham and call the on call doctor. She assured me that I did nothing wrong and it's very normal to have some light bleeding. She suggested I take it easy, relax, and if I wanted peace of mind to call the office in the morning and schedule an ultrasound.

Once we got to the office this morning we headed into the ultrasound room. Since we knew what to look for from last week as soon as the baby was on the screen I was searching for that beating heart...and there it was! Our tech was so nice and was able to point out not only that glorious little beating heart but the head, arm buds, leg buds, and told us that baby is just shy of an inch! Baby's heart was beating at 163 beats per minute- a little faster than last Thurs. and already looks different!

We also got my blood work back and my Thyroid level was on the high side of normal so they put me on some medication to regulate that. It'll be checked again at 16 weeks with the rest of my blood work. 

Other than that small hiccup, everything has been great! We are relieved to know that baby is healthy and growing in it's little home!
